“Dharmaheen” Religion Mother of Violent Intolerance

The following reports indicate to the deep dissension and widespread devastation caused
by internal differences amongst the Islamic sects that has been ravaging the world. The Shia, Sunni, Kurd, Bahai, Sufi etc. divide is one such issue plaguing the world today.
1. On the second of October, 2017 a riot broke out between Shias and Sunnis at
Lucknow relating to celebration of Muharram. The situation was averted with alacrity.
However such riots have been common experience for centuries as evidenced from the
following news available in the columns– 100 years ago.

2. Hundred years ago: Riot at Garden Reach: What threatened to be a serious riot
at Garden Reach on Monday morning was averted by the prompt action taken by
Inspector A. Robertson of the local thana, who was assisted by Mr. Aga Golam Mohiuddin, an influential merchant of Mutiabruz. It appears that a Court case was pending at Alipore between a Shia named Sultan and a Sunni named Kadir. At about 10 A.M. both parties, with men carrying lathies, got into gharries and were en route to the Alipore Court, when, at Bengalee Bazar, Garden Reach, the factions met and a free fight ensued. Three members of the party, including Nawab Mirza of the Oudh family, had fractured limbs and heads. The police have arrested ten men of Kadir’s party (The Statesman October 2, 2017)

3. Syria war : 955 civilians dead in September:- Another instance of Shia- Sunny
divide: Syria’s war killed at least 3,000 people including 955 civilians in September, the
deadliest month of the conflict this year, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor said today. Hundreds of thousands of Syrians have been killed and millions displaced since the war erupted in 2011 with the brutal repression of anti-government protests.
It has since spiralled into a complex conflict involving world powers, with Russia-backed
regime forces and a US-supported alliance separately battling the Islamic State jihadist
group in the country.“More than 70 percent of the civilians were killed in regime and Russian air strikes, or in air raids of the international coalition fighting IS,”
the monitor’s head Rami Abdel Rahman said.Backed by Russian air strikes, the forces of
Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad are pressing a battle to retake IS-controlled areas in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor. ‘A’ (Agency France-Presse, Beirut, 1 Oct., 2017- The
Statesman-02.10.17)

4. Somalia blast– 276 killed in deadliest single attack in Somalia’s history: The death
toll from the bomb blast in Mogadishu, Somalia, on Saturday has risen to more than 276, with more than 300 others injured. It is the deadliest single attack ever in Somalia.
The most powerful bomb blast ever witnessed in Somalia’s capital killed 276 people
with around 300 others injured, the country’s information minister said early Monday, making it the deadliest single attack in this Horn of Africa nation.

Somalia’s government blamed the al-Qaida- linked al-Shabab extremist group for what it called a “national disaster”. However, Africa’s deadliest Islamic extremist group, which often targets high-profile areas of the capital, had yet to comment.
Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire said, “They have targeted the most populated area in
Mogadishu, inhabited by more than 2 million people killing only civilians.”
The U.S. military has stepped up drone strikes and other efforts this year against al-
Shabab, which is also fighting the Somali military and over 20,000 African Union forces in the country. (15 Oct. 2017, The Associated Press)

5. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) recently released an in-depth report on terrorism in the United States. Covering April 2009 to February 2015, the report (titled
“The Age of the Wolf”) found that during that period, “more people have been killed in
America by non-Islamic domestic terrorists than jihadists”. The SPLC asserted that “the jihadist threat is a tremendous one,” pointing out that al-Qaeda’s attacks of September 11, 2001 remain the deadliest in U.S. history. But the study also noted that the second deadliest was carried out not by Islamists, but by Timothy McVeigh in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995– and law enforcement, the SPLC stressed, are doing the public a huge disservice if they view terrorism as an exclusively Islamist phenomenon.
President Barack Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast in February and stressed that
Muslims don’t have the market cornered on religious extremism. In the minds of far-right Republicans, Obama committed the ultimate sin by daring to mention that Christianity has a dark side and citing the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition as two examples from the distant past. Obama wasn’t attacking Christianity on the whole but rather, was making the point that just as not all Christians can be held responsible for the horrors of the Inquisition, not all Muslims can be blamed for the violent extremism of ISIS (the Islamic State, Iraq and Syria), the Taliban, al-Qaeda or Boko Haram.

Violent Christianists are a reality in different parts of the world– including the United States– and the fact that the mainstream media don’t give them as much coverage as ISIS or Boko Haram doesn’t mean that they don’t exist. (ALEX
HENDERSON, 04.07.2015, ALTERNET)

6. As we probe into the present organisations primarily catering to violence and fanaticism under the aegis of Semetic thoughts and ideals we come across six extreme Christianist groups.
A. The Army of God: A network of violent Christianists that has been active since the early 1980s, the Army of God openly promotes killing abortion providers– and the long list of terrorists who have been active in that organization has included Paul Jennings Hill (who was executed by lethal injection in 2003 for the 1994 killings of abortion doctor John Britton and his bodyguard James Barrett), John C. Salvi (who killed two receptionists when he attacked a Planned Parenthood clinic in Brookline, Massachusetts in 1994) and Eric Rudolph, who is serving life in prison for his role in the Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta in 1996 and other terrorist acts. Although primarily an anti-abortion
organization, the Army of God also has a history of promoting violence against gays.
And one of the terrorist acts that Rudolph confessed to was bombing a lesbian bar in
Atlanta in 1997.

B. Eastern Lightning, a.k.a. the church of the Almighty God: Founded in Henan Province, China in 1990, Eastern Lightning (also known as the Church of the Almighty God or the Church of the Gospel’s Kingdom) is a Christianist cult with an end-time/apocalypse focus: Eastern Lightning believes that the world is coming to an end, and in the meantime, its duty is to slay as many demons as possible.Eastern Lightning believe that Jesus Christ will return to Earth in the form of a Chinese woman. But they are quite capable of violence against women. In 2002, cult members kidnapped 34 members of a Christian group called the China Gospel Fellowship and held them captive for two months in the hope of forcing them to join their cult. Although mainly active in the Communist People’s Republic of China, Eastern Lighting has been trying
to expand its membership in Hong Kong.

C. The Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA): LRA was founded by Joseph Kony (a radical
Christianist) in Uganda in 1987 and has called for the establishment of a severe Christian
fundamentalist government in that country. The LRA, according to Human Rights Watch, has committed thousands of killings and kidnappings– and along the way, its terrorism
spread from Uganda to parts of the Congo, the Central African Republic (CAR) and South
Sudan. The word “jihadist” is seldom used in connection with the LRA, but in fact, the LRA’s tactics are not unlike those of ISIS or Boko Haram. And the governments Kony hopes to establish in Sub-Saharan Africa would implement a Christianist equivalent of Islamic Sharia law.

D. The National Liberation Front of Tripura: Most of India’s Christians are peaceful, but a major exception is the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT). Active in the state of Tripura in Northeastern India since 1989, NLFT is a paramilitary Christianist movement that hopes to secede from India and establish a Christian fundamentalist
government in Tripura. NLFT has zerotolerance for any religion other than Christianity,
and the group has repeatedly shown a willingness to kill, kidnap or torture Hindus who
refuse to be converted to its extreme brand of Protestant fundamentalism. In 2000, NLFT
vowed to kill anyone who participated in Durga Puja (an annual Hindu festival). And in May 2003, at least 30 Hindus were murdered during one of NLFT’s killing sprees. Similar forces are also concurrently functioning in Mizoram, Nagaland and other sister states in the north east.

E. The Phineas Priesthood: The Christian Identity movement specifically combines white
supremacist ideology with Christianist terrorism, arguing that violence against non-WASPs is ordained by God and that white Anglo Saxon Protestants are God’s chosen people. The modern Christian Identity movement in the U.S. has been greatly influenced by the Ku Klux Klan– an organization that has committed numerous acts of terrorism over the years– and in the 1970s, new Christian Identity groups like the Aryan Nations and the Covenant, the Sword and the Arm of the Lord (CSA) emerged.
Another Christian Identity group of recent decades has been the Phineas Priesthood,
whose members have been involved in violent activities ranging from abortion clinic
bombings to bank robberies (mainly in the Pacific Northwest). On November 28, 2014,
Phineas Priesthood member Larry Steven McQuilliams went on a violent rampage in
Austin, Texas– where he fired over 100 rounds at various targets (including a federal
courthouse, the local Mexican Consulate building and a police station) before being shot
and killed by police.
F. The Concerned Christians: Some Christianists believe that Jews must be converted to Christianity, they consider themselves staunch supporters of Israel. And some of them believe in violently forcing all Muslims out of Israel. The Concerned Christians, a Christianist doomsday cult that was founded by pastor Monte “Kim” Miller in
Denver in the 1980s, alarmed Colorado residents when, in 1998, at least 60 of its
members suddenly quit their jobs, abandoned their homes and went missing– and it turned out there was reason for concern. In 1999, Israeli officials arrested 14 members of the Concerned Christians in Jerusalem and deported them from Israel because they
suspected them of plotting terrorist attacks against Muslims. One likely target, according
to Israeli police, was Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque– the same mosque that was targeted
in 1969 (when a Christianist from Australia named Denis Michael Rohan unsuccessfully
tried to destroy it by arson) and, Israeli police suspect, was a likely target in 2014.
7. The American Fear : The fact that 71 percent of American voters in the 2014 midterms were worried about a terrorist attack on the U.S. homeland is an indication that violent groups like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State and Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula are still hovering in the minds of many Americans. Here is a list of the five deadliest terrorist
groups that are operating today, and the five that are no doubt at the top of Washington’s
radar:
I) The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant: It takes a special kind of terrorist
organization to force the world’s most powerful and professional military into action halfway around the globe. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, ISIS or simply the Islamic State) is exactly this type of organization: strong enough to rout several divisions of a national army, and rich enough to sustain their operations
at an impressive pace.Estimated by the Central Intelligence Agency to have a size of 31,000 fighters, ISIL has single-handedly swept across an area of the Middle East roughly the size of Belgium. The swift and easy capture of Iraq’s second-largest city, Mosul, by several thousand ISIL fighters in June 2014 had the effect of not only embarrassing the Iraqi government in the eyes of its people, but revealing how poorly led and pathetic the Iraqi security forces had become.Absent President Barack Obama’s decision to authorize targeted airstrikes against ISIL positions in early August, there was a very real possibility that several more divisions of the Iraqi army could have collapsed. A major difference between ISIL and the litany of other Islamist terrorist organizations competing for fundraising and recruits is that the former is succeeding in a task that not even
Al Qaeda could accomplish: capturing territory, holding that territory and declaring an Islamic caliphate in the very heart of the Arab world. And ISIL is doing it in the most brutal way imaginable: rounding up and executing anyone who shows the slightest bit of resistance to its domination. At least four cases of mass killings by ISIL terrorists have been documented, including the execution of 250 Syrian troops in August after the group captured the al-Tabqa air base. Several weeks ago, over 200 Iraqi tribesmen were
massacred west of Ramadi.
II) Boko Haram: The jihadist group in northeastern Nigeria catapulted to the world’s
attention when a boarding school in the Nigerian border town of Chibok was raided in the middle of the night. Around 300 Nigerian schoolgirls were taken captive by Boko Haram militants and threatened with forced marriage and forced conversion.
Yet Boko Haram has been menacing Nigeria’s northern communities for years. The organization was founded in 2002, but it’s activities only reached global spotlight in 2009, when Boko Haram’s new leader, Abubakr Shekau, launched insurgency against the Nigerian government using nothing but terrorist tactics. Boko Haram has razed entire villages to the ground, its inhabitants often killed with bullets to the head or burned alive. The Council on Foreign Relations estimates that at least 6,742 people have been killed as a result of Boko Haram’s violence since May 2011– an incredibly conservative figure. Over fifty schoolchildren were killed in a suicide bombing that many speculate was a Boko Haram member. This wouldn’t be all that surprising, given the group’s history of destroying schools and burning students alive in their dormitories. (Daniel R. DePetris, November 16, 2014: Like it or not terrorism will continue to be a problem for the United States, its alleys, and the rest of the International community.)
8.The Russian view: Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, addressed the Duma,
(Russian Parliament) on February 04, 2013, and gave a speech about the tensions with
minorities in Russia: “In Russia live Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the
Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law,and live the life of Muslims then we advise
them to go to those places where that’s the state law. Russia does not need Muslim
minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or
try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell ‘discrimination’. We will not tolerate disrespect of our Russian culture. We had better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Muslims are taking over those countries and they will not take over Russia. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of Sharia Law and Muslims. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the Russian national interest first, observing
that the Muslim minorities are not Russians.

The shortest ever speech by the Russian President invited the longest standing applause
for 5 minutes. (A February 2013 speech by Russian president Vladimir Putin demanding that Muslim immigrants speak Russian and conform to Russian culture is apocryphal.)

9. A (Retired) Major General’s observation : The True Story worth studying/analyzing and ensuring this does not happen in future: Major General V S karnik (Retired) PhD ( Management) writes on 2017-09-11 in : In one village, Brahamans, Rajputs, Baniyaas, Teli, and Harijan, all from different castes, were happily and peacefully staying.
One day, one Muslim (Mulla) with his wife and their eight children came to that village. They went to village pramukh, a Rajput man, and begged him that they be allowed to stay in that village. Except Teli and Harijan community, all agreed to allow the Muslim family to stay there. After some years the eight children grown up and were of marriageable age. The Muslim man first went to Rajput and requested that “Huzoor,Baccho ki shadi hone wali hai. I have only one house.” The Rajput gave him some uncultivated land, and said that you build a house on it. Then the Muslim went to Baniya, and borrowed money. After some time, his eight children had 72 children and after about 30 years the Muslim population of that village was 40 % of total
population. Now the Muslim youths, as per their culture, started having fights with Hindu youths and harassing Hindu girls. Slowly Brahmins and Baniyas left the village. One day Mulla started destroying the main temple of Hindus. To this, Rajputs of the village objected. The Muslim, who came 30 years ago, said that anyone objecting about the work for Allah, will be cut into pieces. The Rajputs also left the house. While leaving the village, they said to Harijan and Telis, if we had listened to your advice and not trusted the Mulla, we would have not come to this stage of leaving the village. This village name is, now, changed from Panchvati to Rahimabad. This village is in Maharashtra, in Amvravti district. This is a true story. (Similar experiences are not scarce but of common occurrence in Assam, West Bengal, districts bordering Bangladesh and many other districts with large Muslim population in UP, Kerala and other states). It happened after partition. It happened with Kashmiri Pundits. It is happening, now, in W. Bengal. Get Rohingyas Muslims in India and this process will speed up. Congratulations to liberals, secularists, Human right protectionists and Judiciary of India, for supporting the cause of  Rohingyas. You all wait for some time, when you all will be driven out by ISIS. Bharatvasis should get “Noble Prize” for tolerance.

10. The Muslim Malaysian Medicine : The Malay Rulers have expressed concern that
unity and harmony in the country is eroding following a series of racial and religious
controversies.
Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal Tan Sri Datuk Seri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad in a statement
yesterday said the Rulers found that in recent weeks, the actions of certain individuals had gone beyond all acceptable standards of decency, risking the harmony that currently exists within the country’s multi-religious and multi- ethnic society.

“The Rulers are of the opinion that the damaging implications of such actions are more
severe when they are erroneously associated with or committed in the name of Islam.”
“As a religion that encourages its followers to be respectful, moderate and inclusive, the reputation of Islam must not be tainted by the divisive actions of certain groups or individuals which may lead to rifts among the rakyat,” the statement read.
The statement echoed the stance taken by the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan
Iskandar, and the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, in prohibiting Muslim-only launderettes in both states.“After 60 years of independence, we must continue to act in accordance with the principles embodied within the Constitution and manifested in the spirit of the Rukun Negara,” the Rulers stressed. They added that the Rukun Negara, which outlined five guiding principles for the country, must continue
to serve as a compass to all citizens including leaders and government officials.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity,
Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCCBCHST) president Datuk R. S. Mohan Shan said the statement from the rulers was timely, reports Ashwin Kumar.“This country is famous for its unity and harmony. Any incident which degrades the harmony among the people should not be tolerated and that is what the rulers want checked,” he said. Mohan also pointed out that Sultan Ibrahim made the right decision when he expressed dismay over the laundrette’s move. The laundrette owner then apologised and agreed to abide by Sultan Ibrahim’s decree.(Rulers concerned over growing intolerance– newsdesk@ thesundaily.com, 10 October 2017,Ashwin Kumar).

11. Sanatan Hindu Dharma, the sole Saviour: The Sun rises in the East and the
salutary wisdom of the Vedas or Sanatan Hindu Dharma contribute to the knowledge of One God who manifests in various forms and is The Consciousness  within the conscious
world- . Both the Semetic religions Christianity and Islam, owe their origin from the same concept  of Jehoba and cult hatred against others, subsequently assumed highly militant form. It would be pertinent to focus in brief on the ingrained unholy possessiveness and greed that invited uninhibited murders and fratricide amongst close relationships within Islam, a pointer to the prime causal malady persistent in the conservative Islamic culture that spread to the far East from the Arabian heartland.
The Indian (anti Hindu) secularists always misinterpret dharma as religion,
creating a deliberate confusion. Bereft of the 10 essentials of Dharma viz-
patience, forgiveness, abstinence, refraining from theft,  purification, both external (material) and internal (spiritual),  self-control,  perception and insight, wisdom, – truth and calmness of mind– man turns into an animal– so says the Shastras. Only Hindu
Dharma considers the entire Creation as the embodiment of God, appreciates the
concept of ‘Diversity in Unity’ under the influence of Maya (law of contradiction),
and chastens the greed infested intolerant mind to realise ‘Almighty’, ensuring divine
love and respect for all. Lord Sri Krishna states in Gita–
One whose intellect is not attached to Atman (remains steeped in the enjoyment
of senses) and without the realisation of Atman (Truth or divine consciousness
of Self) one fails to attain peace, and without peace how can an intolerant freckle
mind attain bliss? Human mind influenced by senses resembles a boat afflicted by
strong wind. When a deer , an elephant ,a bumble bee , a wasp  and fish all succumb to death due to their great attraction through a single sense organ, man afflicted with great attraction for all the five senses, remains alive. This in itself is a major surprise–

Sanatan Hindu Dharma based on the foundation of Truth and sacrifice, can only save humanity from the precipice of self annihilation, from the innate aberration that
permeates so called dharmaheen  religion or the abode of materialism and political power. Sanatan Hindu Dharma, seated on the strongest foundation of spiritual love and holistic knowledge of Self is the sine cure of rabid intolerance and sinful hatred to ensure
sustainable peace and Eternal Bliss in the strife-torn world of today.
